Motorsport.com Earns Multiple Telly Awards for Best Web Series

Bronze Telly Award: Vitesse Extrême Le Mans

Motorsport.com has won two prestigious awards at the 37th Annual Telly Awards Show.

Led by seven-time Emmy award-winning producer Robert Lyon, Motorsport.com-produced “Inside WEC” – a highly acclaimed race preview and review series surrounding the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) - earned a Silver Telly Award in Web Series category.

Lyon was also recognized with a Bronze Telly Award for excellence in Documentary category for his video project, “Vitesse Extreme – Le Mans”, an inside look at Tequila Patron ESM’s first journey to the 24 Hours Le Mans.

The competition includes submissions from more than 13,000 entries from all 50 U.S. states and numerous countries.

The award-winning “Inside WEC” gives viewers privileged access to the World Endurance Championship (WEC) featuring previews, post-race recaps, driver interviews and race highlights for each event around the world. The video series is offered in four different languages.

“We are extremely proud to be recognized by the Silver Telly Council and the 500 accomplished industry professionals who judged the competition and rewarded our creative work,” said Charles Bradley, editor in chief, Motorsport.com. “Robert Lyon has proven once again why he is considered one of the best videographers and storytellers in auto racing, and is well deserving of such prestigious recognition.”

The Telly Awards was founded in 1979 and is the premier award honoring outstanding local, regional and cable TV commercials and programs, the finest video and film productions, and online commercials, video and films.  Winners represent the best work of the most respected advertising agencies, production companies, television stations, cable operators and corporate video departments in the world.

A judging panel of over 500 accomplished industry professionals, each a past winner of a Silver Telly and a member of The Silver Telly Council, judged the competition, upholding the standard of excellence that Telly represents.

“The Telly Awards has a mission to honor the very best in film and video,” said Linda Day, Executive Director of the Telly Awards.  “Motorsport.com’s accomplishment illustrates their creativity, skill, and dedication to their craft and serves as a testament to great film and video production.”
